“I’m an experienced youth and community worker, offering mentoring for adults and young people, support for youth workers and training

What’s mentoring?

I will walk alongside you for a period of time in your life. My hope is that we will build a good relationship and that you will consider me a safe person, but I appreciate that will take time. My role is to be there to support you in the season through which you are journeying.

Mentoring can take many forms, and will depend on your age and needs.

It is not counselling or therapy. I am happy to signpost to other services, or to help you find a service that is a better fit for your needs if that becomes necessary.

Mentoring for adults or support for youth workers will involve either time in a coffee shop or some time walking and talking together. The agenda is yours, and I can help you with an outside perspective and a listening ear. If you don’t live near me, I’m happy to have regular online chats.

Mentoring for young people is an opportunity for them to spend time with a trusted adult. It could look like meeting for a hot chocolate and a chat, taking a dog for a walk or visiting places of interest. Sometimes mentoring will be within school time & at school, other times it’ll be outside of school.  It will be led by the young person and my focus will be on building the relationship, and supporting the young person with their goals.

I will take time to get to know you as an individual and my approach is flexible and adaptable”.

About me: I am a JNC professionally qualified youth worker, I ran a mentoring project for children and young people between 2016-2025.
